Studio Calico Neverland Scrapbook Main Kit… Challenge!

Early this year I signed up for Studio Calico's Scrapbook Kit Club and my first kit started in February, however it wasn't exactly my style and I wasn't in love with it and decided to skip sharing the pages.  So, I'm gonna quickly share with you starting with the March Main Scrapbook kit ( NeverLand) before my May Kit arrives in the next few days. :)

I have decided that I would only use only the items that are in the one kit I purchased and not add any other materials to it. I always see people who use kit's and they add so many other item's to the pages you hardly actually see the items in the kit. After all isn't the purpose of a kit to be able to create layouts from just that, the kit.

*NOTE: The only tools I use are my scissors, punches, trimmer, ink pads, and My Making Memories Slice (yes, you heard me right my Slice machine, I still use it and love it.)
Product is from the kit only!
By Far my favorite layout from this kit because it is so not like me to use so little product and it was really stepping out and trying something new.
Love this pic of my silly Cat Mocha May, it looks like she's cracking up laughing whenever I look at it. Although it's just her cute little yawn. :)

I use to always forget to document myself in our family scrapbooks and because of this I hardly ever saw myself in our family album. Don't forget to scrap you and have fun with it!
Love my sweet little nephew Max, he was being such a sweet little angel for me.
I'm typically all about pattern paper all of the time but it was a good challenge to step out of my box and just try some simple plain white paper.

One thing I can definetly say is that using only the products in the main scrapbooking kit has really challenged me and got me to try new things that I would never have done before and I'm really starting to love the challenge.

Early morning Entry into DisneyLand is just the best however, 4x's in a row on Space Mountain without getting off the ride was a bit much for 7in the morning! :)

With all my little scraps and leftover goodies I made a few Project Life cards to use later on in my scrapbooks.

Loved the challenge and I'm already working on and enjoying the challenge of my April Studio Calico Scrapbook Kit.  My May Kit should be arriving any day!!!

Scrapbook/ Project Life Style

Ok, so I wanted to share the scrapbook pages and the Project Life Style pages from my scrapbook as in the video from yesterday.

Also, wanted to let you u know that I'm working on my 2012 and 2013 album right now.
I had many things go on with my health in the beginning of last year that was a big set back for me in my life and that also included a set back in me scrapbooking my family album. With that said this is why I have both 2012 and 2013 scrapbooks in progress. So you will see many pages that say 2012 but those are actually current things I'm working on. This is where the Project Life Style with my spin on it works great for me.

A little Warning I'm not the best at photographing the Project Life Pages without the glare. This along with working out my skin tones in some of the pics will be my challenge this year! :)

So here it goes:

My Title Page for my 2012 album that I'm currently working on. I use all Becky Higgins Page Protectors for all of my Pages. Love love love this cute paper from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitian Collection.

Celebrating New Year's Eve with my brother and his family is always the most fun and it has become a tradition each year for us. Paper is from Echo Park, Times & Season's collection.

which I trimmed the top and sides of this page protector to make more of a custom size.

The Back side of above Page Protector.

We where out for a little bike ride to drop some Etsy packages off to the post office and grab some lunch. Bike riding is one of my favorite ways to spend time with my boys.

Of course the birth of my sweet little nephew Max, was a must for his own personal 12x12 page.

I trimmed off the side column of pockets for a more custom size.

Love adding all the fun everyday day pics to my scrapbook without requiring much space but al the fun.

This is a 12x12 page that I choose to incorporate different special memories of the day into one page.

My son's special little girl cat Fozzy Bear needed her own page to highlight all her sweet cuteness. Yes, I know she has a little boy's name for a girl cat but it just fits that silly little girl. :)

Having Fun at CHA, I always say what's most fun about CHA is FRIENDS!!!

My sweet little niece Bunny along with more papers and embellishments from AmericanCrafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection. The doilie paper is from another company.

My sweet little Joshies's 13th birthday we celebrated at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor. It's such a fun experience to share something from my day with the kid's and for them to love and get as much joy out of it as I did when I was a little kiddo.

Once again I trimmed off the side page pockets to customize for my photos.

Back side of above page protector
We celebrate Joshie's birthday all week long and he likes to celebrate with FOOD!!! :)

Our day we spent in Chinatown and Joshie got some acupuncture to better help his Type 1 diabetes.

 Mogi's (Jason) First school dance.

a last minute Real Housewives of the OC premiere party night with friends!!!

My Sweetheart and I out for a little quiet time for dessert and latte's at Crepe de' Paris, on Valentine's.

Then it was home to make homemade heart shaped pizza's with the kiddo's and enjoy Valentine's as a family. Yes, we had dessert first! :)

I ended up i the hospital later that night on Valentine's with the worse debilitating severe pain to my head, blacking out in the emergency room and spending some time in the hospital. With a much long year of recovery from this event. I've come along way from where I was almost a year ago and I still continue to research to find the best possible options for my health. I continue to get better all the time.

My Birdie, (husband's) Birthday! :)

Last but not least this is scrapbook page is my latest I did last week at a crop of my o' so sweet little niece bunny. The papers and colors where so fun to use on this little layout.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my pages that I'm currently worked on and how I use the Project Life style in my scrapbooks for all my special everyday pics, just without scrapbooking each week in a double page spread. This has really made it freeing for me to work at my own pace.

My Spin on Project Life...

I put together this quick video sharing my spin on adapting your scrapbooking style with the Project Life style of scrapbooking. This way your free to work on your album in a no pressure format instead of  a weekly format incase that's not working for you. It keeps the original style of scrapbooking in a chronological order with the fun look and style that I love of the everyday that Project Life offers, but none of the pressure.

I hope that this video helped give you some ideas on how you might like to incorporate your scrapbooking style with the O' so cute fun style of Project Life.

* In the video I use all of Becky Higgins, Project Life Page Protectors instead of other brands. I like the look and styles of her Page Protectors and it helps me keep a more cohesive look to my scrapbook by using all the same brand.

I just recently put together a youtube channel and I'm looking forward to sharing many more fun crafty tips and ideas with you. If you would like to checkout or subscribe to my Youtube channel for fun future up dates just click on this link. http://www.youtube.com/tammyinman7

Cars Ride at California Adventure

A short quick trip to Disney's California Adventure:

Yes, I can finally say we rode the Cars ride also known as Radiator Springs ride at Disney California Adventure!  Now I can see exactly what all the hype for this ride is about. It was so much darn fun and such a throw back to the larger great rides of Disney Past like Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder, and so many others that have all the detail and fun added in. This was definitely no throw together ride, but one that will be enjoyed for many many decades to come.

Here's a quick pic of the scenery of the Cars ride i took while waiting in line. It's so pretty and you can catch a small glimpse of the waterfall in the lower right corner of the photo. By the way at this point the anticipation is REALLY building.

I must say I have a ton of sympathy for those that go to Disney and need to use the wheelchairs because it's definitely not as easy as it seems to get around. Especially when you have one kiddo with crutches and two silly crazy boys. :) (Cars Que)

Just hopped in our blue Cars ride car and off we goooooooooooooo………… :)

Heading into a cave which I had no idea that this ride also had an inside adventure part to it. BONUS!!!

Heading into Tail Light Caverns...

Only one pic from inside as where exiting because all the rest came out way to blurry. Sorry. :(

And where off on a speeding race… over the heels and sharp turns burning rubber around the corners.

Cars was such a thrilling, exciting, and very fun ride! So much fun to experience a new Disney ride with the kiddo's! We left the ride so thrilled, giggling, and laughing away.

Here's our view from the look out of Disney's Tower of Terror and this view only last for a few seconds and then it's down you go for more thrilling terror of FUN!!! I said I wouldn't do this ride ever again it's that crazy and scary but what the heck, gotta be adventurous with the kids.

For a little more easy breezy light hearted fun ride we headed over to the Monsters Inc.
which we hadn't rode in many years. That last time we had been on this ride it was so long ago that the boy's didn't even remember ever riding it.

Thanks for all the fun Disney's California Adventure and for more great memories! :)

Here's a really fun tour of Disney's California Adventures new Cars Land:
